Hello!
Quote: "One of the great teachings of the Man of Galilee, the Lord Jesus Christ, was that you and I carry within us immense possibilities. In urging us to be perfect as our Father in Heaven is perfect, Jesus was not taunting us or teasing us. He was telling us a powerful truth about our possibilities and about our potential. It is a truth almost too stunning to contemplate. Jesus, who could not lie, sought to beckon us to move further along the pathway to perfection. Each of us has more opportunities to do good and to be good than we ever use. These opportunities lie all around us. Whatever the size of our present circle of effective influence, if we were to improve our performance even a little bit, that circle would be enlarged. There are many individuals waiting to be touched and loved if we care enough to improve in our performance." -President Spencer W, Kimball
This week was great!!!:) It was pretty warm most of the week, but man was yesterday cold! It was literally the coldest I have been on my mission and maybe my life!!! Elder Killpack and I turned to each other several times half-joking about dying and deciding if you really are more blessed if you die as a missionary! haha And him making jokes about how my cheeks had frozen into a goofy position haha. Okay not THAT dramatic. But pretty dang cold!!! -11 Degrees Celsius and crazy wind. Today is a little bit better! We had our zone training earlier this week. It went really well! Each zone leader and sister training leader took a principle of Christ-like teaching skills and we split into 4 groups and each gave a little mini training/workshop. We got some really good feedback from people and it seemed to really work well and be effective. Rather than just load them with commitments we gave each missionary suggestions and ways they could apply the principles we were talking about. Then at the end our commitment was to choose one thing that we talked about today and figure out how you personally want to apply it in order to become a more Christ-like teacher and evaluate nightly. Then we called individually and asked their commitments so now we can follow up with each person at least once a week! It went really well and we really enjoyed it. Our zone killed it this week! Super proud of them!!! This week we had just a lot of little fun stories with run ins on the street. For example, old men drunk, men showing you their Tae Kwon Do kicks, being hugged multiple times by drunk old men, and people telling you that they discovered another planet like ours!!! (BTW if that's real I would love the scoop?!?) haha Anyways, great week! Still working hard! We have transfers next week! Elder Killpack and I will probably stay together, but you never know. The church is true!
