Quote: "A God who makes no demands is the functional equivalent of a God who does not exist. A world without God, the living God who establishes moral laws to govern and perfect His children, is also a world without ultimate truth or justice. It is a world where moral relativism reigns supreme."-Elder D. Todd Christofferson ..... and ..... "For a wise and glorious purpose Thou hast placed me here on earth And withheld the recollection Of my former friends and birth; Yet ofttimes a secret something Whispered, "You're a stranger here," And I felt that I had wandered From a more exalted sphere." O My Father Hymn No. 292
Happy Thanksgiving to all you westerners! haha Since everyone keeps asking, we had a member invite us over for dinner, but not because they knew it was Thanksgiving, that's just when they had time and scheduled us. So thats about all we did:). Also I bought a snack or two on the street and some for Elder Kim too so he could "sorta" experience American Thanksgiving. haha This week I mastered (or at least improved) in my ability to throw around these little business cards that they have here. Basically people drive by on scooters and flick/throw these business cards to the front doorsteps of all these businesses and basically they just are all over the place. So Elder Kim and I decided we would figure out how to throw them like they do and sure enough, we figured it out ( a little) it is pretty fun actually, I'll show you when I'm home. This week we met with our investigator and he is still good on keeping the Word of Wisdom. He is scheduled to be baptized on this Saturday as long as he can resist smoking!:) We are super excited!:) He has literally changed so much since we began meeting with him. Its hard to explain everything about him, but lets just say, he has broken almost every commandment you can break. It has been so cool to see the atonement take place in his life. Super excited! Pray for him. We also got our new district this week. Fun Fun Fun stuff! Other than that, today it is snowing for the first time this winter. The work is going well! Love and miss you all! May we all remember Jesus Christ, our Prince of Peace and the King of Kings, as the hustle and bustle of Holiday season approaches. The Church is true!
