This week was good. Not a lot happened, but yet it feels like everything happened! (If that can make sense). Apparently this week some of the other Elders saw our recent convert smoking on the street. Kind of a let down but we will work with him. He is still going good on drinking which was one of his biggest things to begin with. I am just grateful for the Atonement that covers even little silly mistakes and bluff ups like this. We still have really good hope for him and his family. But we will definitely be taking a look at that this week. It snowed a couple times this week, which was fun and beautiful. I quite enjoy it. Yesterday we were even out on the street and the wind and snow were blowing just right and it felt like i was skiing;) haha. So that was fun! Also this week we met this Egyptian guy. It was really cool to talk to him and learn more about the Islam religion. He doesn't have a ton of desire to change so we probably won't meet with him again. But it was super interesting to hear about his religion. He also read parts of the Qu'ran for me in Arabic and it was so cool. I just imagined that I was living in the days of Christ and listening to the language back then. Pretty cool. First time I have ever heard Arabic.
During district meeting this week I talked a lot about time and how short our time is on our mission. Then I touched on the key indicators and kind of gave our district a break down on our stats over the last few transfers. Then we talked about how to set more street lessons which will ultimately lead to more new investigators and more baptisms. It went pretty well I think. It is a cool experience to feel the Spirit working through you and I get to feel it just about every Wednesday! What a blessing! Good week! All is going well! The Church is true! Remember the reason for the season!!!
