12-1-13

 Hello!

This week was pretty good! I got to go to the temple on Tuesday! I love going to the temple! So many blessings come from that! After the temple we went to President and Sister Christensen's house (which is like a 5 million dollar lot) and made cookies and played games with the missionaries in our zone! It was a really fun and relaxing P-Day.
On Thursday we had Thanksgiving. Our house of Elders got to go into 이 태 원 (which is near Seoul and is super off limits for missionaries because it is an absolute crazy town... But we got permission for Thanksgiving) and eat with an American member named Sister Ratta and two Congon senior missionaries who were waiting for their visas to renew. It was a super good Thanksgiving meal! Because Sister Ratta has hook-ups to the military base, we had a lot of American food that you can't really get anywhere else in Korea. It was super nice and I will send pictures! We went around the table and said things we are thankful for!:)
On Friday I went on splits with my district leader Elder Hendershot. We met a less active man who came home early from his mission and has since fallen away from the church. He is a super cool guy though. We could tell that he still has his testimony and is wanting to come back to church. He is just struggling because he feels like people will think of him poorly if he decides to come back now. We are working with him though and he is a super nice guy. He bought us a 12$ buffet meal! Super good!
Other than that this week was pretty straight-forward. Many people ask so I will just tell you that yes it is getting VERY cold here in Korea. But I am staying bundled up and warm:) (He said he puts a bottle of hot water in his coat pocket and refills it during the day to help).  I know the church is true and I am so grateful to be serving a mission. HOORAH! GO BRONCOS!
Until next week...
